Anybody belong/hear about this club?
I'm a budding archer(and by budding I mean without any equipment and very little experience) and have normally just gone to Olympic park, but supposedly this place is in Pennant Hills(which is closer) so I'm curious as to what anybody has to say about them.
Thanks in advanced

Oh, and for the record, I don't think there's anything wrong with the guys at Olympic park. On the contrary, they're very helpful and seem to know their stuff.
The only factor here is travel time.

I am a member of this club which is located in pennant hills park (located at the end of the road) - for details regarding membership phone Robert de Bondt 9484 9484.
It is a FITA club with excellent facilities, begginer training courses with gear supplied so if you want to learn to become an archer ring Rob for details.

Frenchie,
Northern Archers have always been a strong club in Sydney. While I have never visited their facilities, I understand them to be quite good.
Follow the advice above of Stringwalker, and see how it goes.

I have recently become an associate member at Northern as they are a permanent club there. They have 12 layered strammit targets that are quite soft so it is not a difficult task to remove arrows from them, along with 2 close range tuning butts also. Their club hut is excellent with bathrooms, a small kitchen area and plenty of space to house members when the weather is playing up, while the picnic tables outside are also excellent for good weather.
It's nice and quiet there, and even if the wind is quite strong, the bushland around them creates a decent windbreak. Their membership is also very friendly too.
Once you are a member for a certain period of time, I believe you are progressively given access to the shipping containers containing the target faces, and then eventually keys and codes to the club hut too, I don't know specifically those details, but I don't think they are relevant unless you are going to be a member anyway =)

Where do you travel from?
Epping. Took me about 20 minutes by car, and that was with very little traffic. Also,
And yeah, was actually considering eventually becoming a member. Really enjoy the sport, have yet to buy my own equipment but been looking into that as well.
I'll give them a call as soon as I can. Don't suppose anybody can provide an address and times they have classes? Oh, and an appropriate time to call would be nice as well :)

Thanks for the website! Got a better idea now than I did 10 minutes ago :)
Don't know if I read it right, but you need to take a beginners class for four sundays before you get to use their equipment? My problem is I work shift work, which means weekends and nights and Sundays are generally bad.
Would that mean I'm fairly screwed for taking the course and/or becoming a club member?

If you have the time today (Sunda 12th Nov), Northern have a "Come n Try" day running for the first time, they are quite excited about it and hope to pick up some new members from this event.
I think they offer beginners classes on Saturday and Sundays as everytime I have been there on a Saturday, Phil is looking after a beginners course. One has just finished (they shot their qualifying scores last weekend) and now have 4 weeks of using club gear before they have to get their own. As part of the beginners course, you get to use the training bows Northern have, and then for another 4 weeks after you pass the competancy test, then you are on your own in terms of gear.
Epping is quite close, so lucky for you, I drive from Sefton to get there

Well, that's the thing. I'm currently at work(do 12 hour shifts so no chance) hence why was hoping for a bit more flexibility :|
But yeah, location wise, its rather decent.
