Just got my Trykon today, I have only put 20 arrows through it so far and noticed that the cam is chewing up the string quite badly...im at a loss as to why or what is causing this.

Any advice would be greatly apreciated.

20 Shots! ..... New Bow???? :(

Don't attempt to rectify anything, take it straight back to the distributor!!!

First thing... Stop shooting.:sorry:

Your control cable is on the wrong way
It should not cross the buss peg as seen in your pic. The buss peg will be chewing up the cable.

The cable orientation should look like this

If your dealer supplied the bow like this take it back... They have stuffed up.
If you changed the cables... just buy a new set and go again.

Don't lose heart; it is a small issue that can be rectified quickly.
Let us know the outcome.

If you need any help sorting this out drop me a pm and I will send you my number

Regards
Mick

Again,thanks!

It's our pleasure Dan.
I should have said so yesterday but welcome. Forums are a great source of info (sometimes both good and bad:silly:). I am only a new member on this forum as well. There are heaps of others out there but this one and Archery talk are by far the best.
Glad to hear your ok... that baby was only shots away from blowing.
