Favorite thing about archery?

i was just wondering what everyones fav thing about archery is? not just comp or anything, but just in general, and even what you what to get out of the sport? Personally i love training, my gear and all the great freinds i've made to this day.

Tuning up the equipment and then shooting and seeing what happens... usually it is bigger groups!!

Also the people, chatting with team-mates and people from other clubs.

Finally the feeling of nailing the perfect shot

I get rid of my husband for the day so a lot of the time I get trips to the city to go shopping unsupervised!!!!:vamp:

The only problem is, the archery equipment takes up too much boot space, so I can't buy much.:sad:

That shot where the dot sits perfectly on the centre and the release just works to perfection. It may only once in a day, but that's why I play.

Technical aspect - You can tune and try all that stuff to make your shoot nice/better
Visual Aspect - Dude! These bows are looking soooo nice!
there is the Form aspect where I have to work a lot on my form just to get nearer of perfection

Lauching of projectiles and seeing them fall where you aim (well sometimes...) destroying that piece of volume where it falls. The gears, the variety of it, theres so much out there. Of course laughs with friends I've made in archery.

Seeing a long range shot drop into the gold after a perfect feeling shot.
Those ends when all the planets are in alignment and it all seems sooo easy.
If only these happened more often....

Getting really cool gear set up just right.
Spinning a perfectly straight arrow on the palm of your hand.
Being outside in the elements and maintaing a calm, relaxed focus.
Sharing a shoot with good people.

close, but not quite, i shot a Mcpherson before i shot Pearson, and even when i was shooting a martin i still enjoyed the people more then the bow and arrow flinging.

To prove how much i love the people in this game, i have organised to go to qld and shoot 2do... i mean shoot with 2dogs :p

i would say my favorite thing about archery would have to be the freinds you make and the fact that it is a relaxed sport and you don't have to run like in footy or soccer.

Seeing my son & daughter ( she only does it now & then ) have a life outside the computer , playstation & TV, Also my son doing well in his division.
I would rather do rifle target shooting if my wife let me have guns in the house
