Ok I have an 03 ultratec C.5 I can,t get to full poundage ,65# max is 70# bow
A friend dropped off an 05 ultr sport witch I have made strings and cables for
pre stretched and twisted exact as per spects, 50/60# bow.Max I can get out of it is 54# without all spects going ass up.
Need some help real help with it if you would fellas

twist up the control and power cables.

Well either the brace height is too low or you have the wheel pulled through too far

Playing with the ultra sport at the moment,The brace height is in fact 1/4" more than it should be.Have twisted the cables righ up,the bow is in time at full draw, bolts wound in but still a long way short of 60#

are you sure your scales are accurate?

Is there some sort of a sequence eg wind back limb bolts take draw to minium ? can,t see that it would make a difference,But hey what the hell what i,m doing's not working

Last time checked they were 2# out don't think they have changed

always wind all the way up.
you should have 2 timing marks, rotate the cams so that the mark on the front side of the limbs is closer to the limb.

Sorry didnt understand that
Currently the cables run through the timing holes on the cams one slightly lower than the other, timing correct at full draw

lengthen the darw lngth using the cam positions and that should work.

Ok ,changed cam module to owners draw length,up 1/2" didn't alter #
To alter poundage by cam rotation would put it out of time and I would have to get a fair increase in draw length to get that extra poundage

no you won't need to put it out of time if you adjust both cables, and you would be suprized by the poundage difference it will make.

To twist cables any more means brace height is increased is already 1/4" to high
it also means cams are drawn up and away from timing marks, one cable is at very lower edge of timing hole other is quite low.

not trying to be negative just trying hard to sort the bugger out

return the brace height to normal, then twist the control cable by 5 twists, then use the power cable to return the timing. Then check poundage.
These bows work more like single cams where you can adjust the poundage by adjusting the cam rotation, while keeping the brace height OK.

Correct... It only takes 1 or 2 twists of the buss or control to change things by 1 LB

Archery talk is down at the moment but when it is back up (who knows when) duck over there and go to the bow tunning forum. There is a sticky there by Javi (Mike Cooper). It explains the process of tuning a hybrid cam extremely well, follow this and all will be well.

One other thing to remember is that if the bow has had a cam change it may not make the poundage on the limb sticker.

Other thing to remember is that it is not uncommon for bows to max out up to 3Lbs either side of advertised poundage when they are shooting the smoothest.

Had a look at the archery Talk thread fellas, how excellent is that.Unfortunatley I had to give the bow back befor the site re opend.
The best I could get with all spects being half reasonable was 54#.The bow shoots smoothly, but no where near # I was looking for.I would like to have another crack at it now I have read that thread.

Sounds like your brace height is incorrect......lengthen your cables.
