Hi folks. Newbie here! After two years of reasonable target shooting form, everything has gone haywire for about two months. Arrows are flicking towards the right of the target and missing the board completely - even at short range. I have a 64 inch 30 lbs marksman bow.
Love the sport; but, embarrassed by recent form.
Help would be deeply appreciated.

You might need to provide much more information than that to get some value from the forum, mate.

A 64" recurve is a very short bow and your draw length information would be critical to start with any attempt to answer such a question.

Are you mature, or still a junior?

video of back and side views would help so we can make sure that your alignment is correct and anything else

Are you right or left handed?
What is your draw length now and has it increased much?
What arrows do you shoot? Shaft length, point weight, fletching, nocks....
What string? Material, number of strands....
Sorry but I don't know what you mean by "marksman". Are you shooting traditional hunting style barebow recurve (as I suspect) or freestyle (sight/plunger/clicker/stabilisers)?

And yes, photos, or better, videos, would be very helpful.

Marksman was an old and defunct UK brand. I've been told it's been bought out by Border. Some of their bows were quite nice.

Whoever told you it was bought out by Border was very much mistaken I'm afraid.

But yes, old UK brand which pioneered target recurve bows in Britain. The brand was resurrected for a while by a former employee of the business, but I've no idea whether they're still going.

I'll bet you are left eye dominat shooting right handed. Try an eye patch, I'll bet your sub conscious is taking over

hmm. quite likely possibility. OR if an eyepatch is too troublesome you could just try closing your left eye while shooting.

but we can't keep guessing what's wrong forever. you've got to tell us something. some more details. ANYTHING. if you can't think of anything perhaps a video. it'll tell us the million words you can't express.

Appreciate your interest folks. Took up target archery on retiring at 65. Right handed archer. Have been shooting for 2 + years. Am 5'8'' tall and right eye dominant. My draw length is 27 1/2 ". My Marksman recurve bow is 64" and 30lbs at 26". Am using "Jazz" 1813 arrows. Not sure of point weight.
Will send photo of myself aiming as soon as I can work out how to do so.

And preferably if you or a buddy knows how to encode it in as small in filesize but still reasonably good in quality as possible. ;)

Assuming your short little bow stacks up to at least 35 pounds at 27.5", 1813 xx75's are borderline weak by the Easton chart. Something stiffer may go better.
With that said, form issues are more likely to be the problem.

Awaiting pictures....

Have managed to contact a guru who pointed out that my bow is too short for me, causing stacking problems. On release, the arrows were also hitting the arrow rest. This has resulted in damaging several knocks over a short time, and of course spoiling the flight of the arrows. Apparently the more modern bows have a cut-out so that the arrows can be centered without hitting the arrow rest on release. (The plunger spring was too weak to hold the arrow away from the rest on release). He has advised me to get a newer bow and as it is nearly Christmas I may manage this! And as suggested some matched arrows. I may have difficulty getting rid of my present bow as it is too heavy for most juniors and many shorter adults!!
Thankyou for your help and suggestions. I will now slip into the background and continue to follow the forum with interest

Keep it and put it on display or something. I doubt it's worth much anymore.
