Hi, I use dental floss with superglue as nock points(top and bottom of arrow nock) but it doesn't seem to last well. What do others do?

You might want to check whether your fingers' relation to the nocking points during hooking and at full draw are the same. Could be some undue pressure being applied at anchor.

Ordinary cotton with superglue works best for me.

I think you can do very much better.
I never use dental floss (for nocking points), and would definitely never use super glue.
Super glue can create hard bits that can cut string stands, hence well worth avoiding. In any case, it is not necessary.
The best way is to use braided fastflight serving material to create a tie-on nocking point and to seal the ends by melting it. Do it properly and it will never move and it will not damage the underlying string material.

Also, I find that dental floss these days is more "brittle" and doesn't work well. At any rate it's different to the dental floss that has been sitting in the club cupboards. I can't explain it.

The tie-ons are the way to go.

i've got oral-b waxed floss as my nocking point, and have for the past 9 months. it hasn't frayed, come loose, or anything of the sort. works well:thumb:

A second for ordinary cotton thread and CA glue. Rub a bit of wax on the serving before wrapping the thread over a dab of CA. You can then shave them off with a razor blade very easily to move or reserve.

I've still never seen any string damage under the serving from superglue as James has mentioned. I know folks who've been making nock points like this for 25 years and have never had any problems of that nature, but ymmv :)

Cheers,
Pete

I would suggest changing to proper serving string as James Park and Robert43 have suggested...because it works ;)

I have found that glue is simply not necessary. Tie it on properly and it does not move or come off.

me too, just use serving thread, tie in a couple of knots and burn the end, never moves unless I want it to.
