hi everybody. a few of the boys and i are thinking about going up to ravensbourne for the 3d shoot. just wondering if any one can tell me there thoughts on the courses and shoot in general, from last year. most of us run a tight budget so we are tossing up between ravensbourne and longflat.
any feedback realy appreciated.
thanks heaps. jas...:thumb:

I went last year and it is well worth the trip. Fantastic country and excellent courses, and its also hosting the Qld Titles. I'll be there as will many others..

thanks guys. just wondering can you tell me how the ranges compare to the nationals at nambucca(eg the ruggedness of the terain and general ups and downs and around trees that sort of thing). some of the guys had a look at the photos on 3daas sight and said it looked like a cow paddock.
thanks for all youre info.

I haven't been to Long Flat but I can assure you that Ravensborne is far from being a cow paddock. Most of the ranges are set in rain forest with varying terrain. Pretty steep in places but by and large user friendly. Then there is that bloody range set on the golf course. At this stage it still to be finalized as to whether or not a range set up there again. I hope not. It's too frigging hard! Judging distance with only blades of grass to go off makes it extremely difficult. To my mind Ravensborne is a top shoot, but being a Maranoa club member I'm probably biased.

Shermo Snr loves to test us... remember Nambucca? :o
I'm sure he'll do the same At LF.
The Traveller's Rest Hotel will be a big hit, after a day of shooting rubber! :beer_drink:
Listen to 'LightSpeed'... do Long Flat! :thumb:

Ding,
You need to learn country speak. Long Flat is just beside the long paddock.

Your looking at $28.00 entrance fee for the 3DAAA sanctioned shoots, and $7.50 insurance if your not a 3DAAA member. Good value and a great time.

Hey Clarky, seems like Sir Bradmen was using up all his poor shots during the practice weekend, & saving his good shots for the comp.;)
