Ok, i'm well over due for a set of new arrows and i'm looking at the Carbon Tech Sportsters for 2 reasons...
1) the price is right. They seem pretty economical and since most of my income manages to find it's way into the hands of my girlfriend and mysteriously 'disappears', i don't have a big budget for arrows.
2) I've had a couple of people recommend them, but i just wanted to guage opinions from others.
Any feedback will be much appreciated :D
Can't comment on sportsters but I have carbon tech hippos and quality is great for both shafts and components
I'm with you on this one CMB, they'd have to be pretty bad arrows to not be good value at their price. What price have you seen for a set?
Never shot CTs my self, but have shot Beman Divas which were the same type of arrow. If they are as good as the Divas were then I will be getting them next. (I used to get the Divas at $75 a dozen!! Now thats what arrows should cost!!)
I can't imagine that they could be all that bad, though I suspect they would break quite frequently, I think Bernie Andrews was using CTs on the first day of the state target and he broke 5 or 6 (mind you, when you shoot a 1371 you would expect to crush a few.)
So it may be that you'd have to by 2 sets, but that would still work out better financially I think.
Value for money is something I have had to question with my Cartels after going through 6 out of 12 in 9 months, 5 of which were due to breakage (the other I lost). So far to me its seems to make no difference how much I spend, they never last more than a year. So I may as well just keep the price down.

They're currently on the alt services site for $110 a dozen ( $9.19 each)
Seems like pretty good value to me. Obviously depending on what their mortality rate is like.
I've got a few Beman Divas....on one of my stabilisers! LOL
If i had to destroy a dozen to shoot a 1371, then i would!

Archery Mart in SA has them for $111 http://www.archerymart.com.au/ 08-8276-5911
For an extra $1 you keep the money in Oz :D
Can get them at archery-supplies.biz in canberra for $110 as well.
I'm with Mike on this one, they do break quite frequently, well break... actually they split open.
They are good arrows for their price.
I shot them for a brief moment but I went back ACE's (I could buy a nice set of 2nd hand arrows).
One annoying thing is that I had to glue my points with a 2's components glue otherwise I kept loosing my points in the target. I couldn't do much testing in that way.
I stick with Easton now but yes ACE's are too expensive, so I'm trying the Navigators this year. Untill now I like them a lot, but I haven't shot a tournement with them yet.

Rick's glue I'm told wors well, and you can get the point out later by heating.
Thanks for the tip Marcus, I'll keep it in mind for when I have to glue points in some full carbon arrows.
