30-01-2007, 03:04 PM
Oh White Lord, I may have something to tempt you with then. A magical set of Cam & 1/2, No.7 (29-30.5), in MINT & PRISTINE condition. Why their so pristine, their like rainwater. They were given to me by the Elves you know!;)

How's the new bow shooting, Mr Vectrix? Can we expect more quarry shot's during the shoot? Can I convince you to lend me the limbs then. You know you'll get them back....well...maybe not the exact same one's, but limbs non the less...:peace:

Brad

Myself and Cordell stayed at the Central Highlands Motor Inn

Brad
05-02-2007, 05:27 PM
Yes, Central Highland is quite good.

Gingerbread Motel is a bit cheaper though (although I haven't stayed there myself).

There are 2 cabins at the C/Van park for about $70.

Macedon Ranges Shire Council's home page has a link to accomodation in and around Kyneton. There are plenty of B+B's etc at good rates.

Anyone else having problems let me know.

I have no idea about quality but none of them seem to advertise much. I found they on White pages on line.

Awesome shoot! Just wanted to say congratulations and thank you to Brad, Tim and Mick for all their efforts. The courses were challenging and varied, with some particularly memorable shots. Gotta love those quarry shots, they really get the adrenailin pumping. Great to see some new faces as well as those who made the effort to travel interstate. Once again the Macedon guys have come up with the goods. "Build it and they will come".:D

Now that was a blast thanks Brad..my second 3D outing and the course layout was brilliant. A event and course like this deserves to be swamped with Archers and I am sure the words getting around.
Thanks to Cordell/Simon for steering me through 2 great days of challange and pointing out the Brown snoozing by the Trad peg. Loved that descending leopard especially with 3 arrows on centre.

Brad
05-03-2007, 08:45 AM
Thanks for the nice comments. Glad you enjoyed the shoot. We certainly had fun putting the courses together.

Some of the scores for the weekend were;

MBO
1st Gerard Miles with a 484 (which I thought was some great shooting!!)
2nd was Al Sherman 421
3rd Dave Shannon 414

MBR was hotly contested as usual with only 10 points separating the top 3. Owtech came out on top shooting a 460. Clarky wasn't far behind with a 452. And in 3rd place was the archer formally know as the 'Dark Lord' who will now be known as Violet (as in crumble) Tony Stoyanovsky with a 450 (after leading on Sat)

Nat Johnson won FBR.

Leanne Splatt took out FBF again. Well done Leanne!

Dean Moodie won MBF, and when he shells out some cash for a release aid he can join the boys in MBR and not be by himself again.

Harry Palmer shot well to win HC

Peter Dixon again showed them how it was done in RU

Despite our best efforts Mick Cross won the battle of the TRAD guys.

The Top10 was taken out by Dave Shannon after a great shootout with last years winner Greg Noble.

We had some great shots once again. None better than the bedded Stone Sheep on the second day (photo to come). Here are a few photos.

Great shoot & excellant venue. Congratulations to all the winners & place getters.

Violet Crumble, ha ha, give my compliments to your scriptwriter Brad, cause everyone knows your not clever enough to create such witticism yourself.:D :D :D
The courses were very challenging, but even more challenging was trying to contend with the voodoo curse you laid upon me on Sunday Brad. Next time I'll quickly hold a mirror up to your face, & thus reflect your witchcraft onto yourself.:D :D Then I will laugh when you crumble, oh yes, then I will laugh.:D :D :D

Big thanks to all the Northerners for making the big effort to support our shoot. Special praise goes to Dave Shannon, who single handedly fended off the onslaught of these Mighty Northmen to retain the top ten trophy down south. Dave Shannon, short on draw lenth, big on heart.:D :D

The biggest thanks of all goes to the MRA guys who put in all the hard work to run & organise this shoot. Most especially Tim & Mick, & to a lesser degree Brad!!:peace: :D :D :D

I would like to add my congratulations as well. I really enjoyed the shoot.

This was my first time at this location and it certainly provided a variety of types of ground and foliage cover. This provided a great background for the placement of shots. There were plenty of different shots that really kept you thinking.

This was a really well run shoot and I enjoyed it a lot.

The amount of thought you guys put into them is a credit to your club and I'm sure that the people that made the effort to attend will go away looking forward to next year! To the ones that didn't make it, you probably missed the BEST vic shoot of the year.

To Brad, Tim and Mick, and all the others that helped with the layout and the weekends organisation of the shoot, it was one of the best i have ever attended. To reiterate on Shermos comment, those who didnt attend, you missed one of the most enjoyable shoots ever. The courses were simply awesome.
Congrats to all competitors who turned up, especially the inter staters.
I will definately be shooting Kyneton again.

Brad will never let me try one of his bows again after i put an arrow over the top of the 20 yd butt which ended up about 100 metres away. I suppose its a bit hard when you have a 27in draw length and Brads in 31. Sorry Brad!!

Finally got past round 1 of the top 10, woohoo!!, but did my usual trick out on the course and missed a target that you just didnt want to miss. Lightspeed versus rock equals a slightly shorter arrow.
Roy, next shoot you will have to shoot with me just in case you run out of arrows again.

Brad, i will be trying the speed nock idea on the AR to see if it makes any difference in speed.
