Okay, let's hear it! Tell us all about the Robin Hoods you have shot. And I am especially interested to hear if anyone has ever had a double Robin Hood... It COULD be done!

2 noticable ones for me were:
An ACC I shot at 60m during a 1381 Fremantle round, then a National U18 Minor record. Longest Robin Hood I've done.

Bought some Beiter overnocks a few years ago for my Carbon techs. I always hated the Beiter nocks because they always seemed to promote Robin Hoods. I thought maybe the overnocks would be better. Anyway the second shot I ever shot with these nocks Robin Hooded the first.

In general I try to prevent them if possible. Too expensive.

last night at indoor I borrowed a mates 2314 alloys to try them out, shot the first shot at a target, it went a bit low. soI thought I would shoot another one at the same target as it was my first shot for the night, sure enough. Robin hooded the first one.
When I first got my Cartels I used Bieter nocks, took me 3 months to robin hood 8 of them. one of them was a beauty, shooting field at 35mt's I shot an arrow that made that scary sound. when we got to the target I found that my skiny little carbon had gone down the back of a CXL carbon, which resulted in my arrow destroying itself on the point of the other arrow. the CXL was perfectly fine after replacing the nock!
Can't win can I.

There is no justice in this world.

I wonder how in the hell they set that clip up? If you went out there with the intention of filming a robin hood you could be there for weeks.

2 possibilities I would say
1. The shooter was real close
2. The were just filming indoor when it happened

I've done it a couple of times with a longbow and cedar arrows. Feathers, pieces of wood and plastic go all over the place. At least the cost is only about $5 an arrow!

Bare-shaft testing with my compound: shot the bare shaft at 20M and Robin-Hooded it with the fletched shaft (two ACE's).

Brand new set of ACE's (my first set): first end and one of the ladies Robin-Hooded one of my arrows. I had only shot it once.

Last Friday - 90M - "peeled" the Mckinny like a banana. Adds to the - you can never have a dozen - or multiples of - arrows in your quiver. I just got some used Mcks to take me up to 24 arrows total, went out and killed one of them!!! 23 arrows in the quiver.

cheers

When I was shooting Beman ICSs and Carbon Safaris, I heavily contributed to the law prohibiting a full set of arrows.

I lost 6 to this fate!!! And 5 of those was with my arrow the killer. :x

Prior to that, my first ever robin hood was an Easton Jazz (mine) into another of my Easton Jazz arrows!!

So, my tally thus far is 6 Robin Hoods in 3 years, however, 5 of those came in the one year, and 4 of them can be seen here: http://www.mac.asn.au/robinhood2000.htm

I understand that Andrew Fuller Robin-Hooded an arrow at 90M. It was in the one ring.

A couple of mine were at 70m, but I can't claim a 90m one.

That is an impressive bit of data for probability problem Jim!!

Jackson Fear Robin-Hooded one of my X10's in a matchplay at 70M during the selection event for the World Archery Championship Team in 1997. At the time I was using X10 insert nocks. I won the matchplay, but it cost me an arrow.

At the state indoor a couple of years ago I happened to have a look at Zoe's target through the binoculars whilst she was shooting, she'd only shot one into the 10 so far so I was waiting to see if the next would follow.

Sure enough, it did, straight into the back of the first. Impressive to watch through binoculars -- an X7 almost explodes as another one goes into it.

I think I was quite lucky to see that.
