There were just afraid to face NZ in the final, that new haka is pretty scary.

The boys did a pretty good job against NZ tonight in chasing down a big total. :thumb:
So now it comes down to poms -v- kiwis on Tuesday to see who will loose to Oz in the only games that count - the finals.

Well, the pommies seemed to have spoiled your cunning plot and scary haka. :thumb:
Air New Zealand, what flights do you have available for tomorrow from Brisbane?

I have to agree with Jason, although SWMBO took over the TV at 8:30 pm and I saw bugger all of the Collinworth innings. I reverted to the Fairfax on-line scoreboard for progress.
Great to see a good contest developing, though.

Probably will be on Sunday as to who has the controls.
Also, on auto pilot, I typed "Collinworth" without realising, as I do not recognise another team of the same name as his in another sport.

Dammit! I knew I should have stayed up and watched it. Sounded like a good game.

I didn't get to watch but saw the live commentary on the BBC website - brilliant innings from Collingwood! Unfortunate from Australia's viewpoint... ;)

Grant,
The catch by Collingwood to get Ponting was brilliant as well, unfortunately.
This pommie team may not have performed too well to start with, but, OMG, have they learnt quickly, and they played really well last night.
Game on for the next two matches.

Yeah Bruce. Not looking good.

:(
I voluntarily relinquished the remote controls to SWMBO about an hour ago as I could not bear the pain of watching.
In fact, I am amazed that the game is actually on today at all. I live about 50 km as the crow flies SW of the SCG and we have had over 100 mm (4 inches) of rain since last night. It only stopped at about 5:30 this evening. And they have had 4 stoppages for showers at the cricket?

Game abandoned due to rain. :(
England win the series. :( :( :(
We taught this pommie team how to play, but they learnt too bloody well. :fist:
However, well played England. You did, without doubt, play better cricket in the finals than we did.

No mate. The Ashes count for something. The one-day game is to drag in the punters and get TV ratings.
And I have already stated that the pommies out-played us in the finals of this one-day series, and congratulated them for doing so.
