I just bought a bow from academy :D its a compound bow with a 22 pound draw back. Im also 14 5'9 and a beginner. The 22 pounder is really easy to draw and im looking for something bigger. If you suggest a bow please tell me what arrows I should use.
Thanks :)

Where do you live?
What type of archery do you shoot?
What draw length do you shoot and are you still growing?

I agree 22 pound peak weight is very low and you could almost certainly increase this a fair bit.

I live in eastern texas near houston, right now im mostly recreation shooting until I get better at it. I do grow 1 or 2" a month. My bow has a 20-22" draw which i can draw really easily

the PSE Nova SU has 26-31 inches of draw length adjustment and can go from 30 pounds to 60 pounds in Australia they are about $500 i think so you could get one preety cheap in the US

I started out with a Martin Jaguar, they are a verry solid bow that should last a while. If you get it at a minimum draw that is 1/2" too long, then it should do the tric for a few years. i would sujest about a 40lbs max draw weight untill you grow a bit, but that is up to you. jazz shatfts are good for starters (pluss they are cheep so if you missfire then it doesn't hurt your pockets too much) :thumb:
