That doesn't work. For it to be true it would have to be a continual claim and therefore because the "gods" were not eating with you (unless I, and all others at the table are gods)...so:

1) You already screwed up at somepoint and did not complete all your meal thus stopping the cycle and the gods can't eat with you anyway; or
2) The gods don't agree with your disclaimer about the salad (in which case it wouldn't work for you either.
