I foolishly entered Urban Archery last Saturday. There was Marcus well known archery gear pusher. He changed the modules on a Guardian so I could have a go. Just a short go, so of course I knew I couldn't get to hooked on it.
The stupid things that you do!! Now I'm trying to work out where I can get the money for my next hit.

I shot the bow bare with the limbs cranked out,and also shot the black ice in comparison the gaurdian was the better bow.It shot like a bow with a stabilizer on it and I was astounded when the shot went off...If I had not shot this bow I would not have beleived the hype but now!!!!!!
And as for the looks much better in the flesh.
Cool, sounds just like the Vectrix!!!!

I haven't seen a Vectrix yet - and from the Hoyt lineup, they look like the pick of the bunch I reckon. Very nice looking bow.
But...I shot a Guardian the other day. :D
WOW!
I wasn't prepared for it. It seriously is like nothing I've ever shot before. You know all the bow ads we've seen that say "zero shock, no noise, no vibration"?
Yeah?
Well up until now, the marketing guys have been full of it
There have been quite a few quiet, smooth bows around - but this thing is silent!
You hear the release aid going off, and the arrow hit the tagert...that's about it :o
And NO shock either. Zero! It's incredible.
It has a different kind of balance to it than most other bows I've tried. Far more neutral. I think a little thought would need to be given to stabiliser setup. Not that I think it'll be difficult to set up...just that it might want a different setup to your regular bow.
The first thing that came to mind, is that I thought - how cool for hunters!? This bow is silent! Whilst I think target guys are going to like this bow alot - my prediction is hunters are gonna LOVE it! It's got the speed, and KE - a nice brace height and Zero noise.

I could agree more.
But i did find with out a stabiliser it emphasised your bow hand position, pushing in the direction of greatest pressure, but that could be compensated by the right stabiliser.
Will you post your short video Marcus?

My old Matthews ultra max is now ready for the second hand shop.
I think the guardian will be my next bow.
Has any one got one yet.
What do you plan on shooting with it, Paper , 3D, hunting.
I only shot at targets so i am wondering if it realy shoots as accurate as it is quiet.
