Just recieved my new GK targetpro arrow rest today, sure looks the goods. Especially for the price. Will set it up and try it over the next few days and let you know what i think.
I have been using a dropaway so the comparison should be interesting.
Cool, am looking forward to the results of that britesite, erm golden key rest ;)

Well heres the lowdown on the target pro guys and gals.
The rest comes nicely presented in the obligatory blisterpack, I ncluded in the pack is the rest complete with attachment bolt and brass washer, there is a comprehensive instruction booklet and a complete set of allen keys to do the setup and adjusting of the rest. There are three launcher blades to choose from, 2 of them are 10 thou and 1 is 12 thou.
using best guess method I mounted the rest according to instructions, there is also another small allen bolt as a precautionary lockdown so everything stays snug and tight.
time for a shot, First shot highlighted a couple of small probs, The arrow bounced like a superball on a trampoline, Hate that, finally got it to full draw and released an arrow, !!ouch!!
the bolt that locks the arm at the predetermined height hit me in the back of the hand.
No probs I turned the barrel upside down and cured that little dilemma, I have a sneaking suspicion that right handers wont have the prob to begin with.
Back to the bouncy arrow, The cure is simple, I merely moved the back of the arrowrest down which sharpened the ramp angle of the launcher blade which in turn exposes more of the v section in the blade,
another shot, and it hit me in the hand, one more adjustment and perfect. no problems at all, even drawing the bow quite roughly resulted in some minor chatter but no falloffs.
naturally rthe rest is very quiet as there are very few moving parts to vibrate or chatter. height adjustment does not have a micro but is very simple to set.
centre shot adjustment is via a micro drive system with a locking allen screw once you have the desired setting, All in all a very simple rest to use.
after normal nocking point and centere shot adjustments the combo outshot and outgrouped any setup I have had for some time, Impressed the heck out of me I can tell you, I shot 12 ends at 70 metres and never once got the odd flier I was accustomed to with the dropaway, some of the groups were as tight as any I have shot in years with one memorable end yielding 5 arrows touching one another. ( man I wish I could shoot that calm when it counted)
If you are in the market for a target rest I urge you to give this baby a go, The price is around the 100 dollar aus. mark which makes it darn good value in the world of target where you can spend up to 300 dollars for a quality rest, Good luck and good shooting :D

I have since recieved and fitted the premo blades to the above mentioned rest. In the case of the target (fita setup) I find no difference however, with the extra width in the new blade I can now comfortably shoot the cxls which I use in my 3d setup, The rest works just as well there as in the target setup, All in all a fine inexpensive product. Thank you Golden Key. :D
I've noticed a bit of chatter on several different launchers of this style including mine. I think it's caused by the tiniest amount of a sharp edge in the V. It's probably caused when they stamp them from the sheet. This tiny edge seems to grip some arrows more than others but I fixed it with one swipe of the old wet and dry paper.
I couldn't see this rest on the website, Noel. Is it there and I've missed it?

Being a relatively new rest vic I dont think its up yuet, I too had the chatter thing with a picked up edge, same cure as yours. :D Just noticed a pic of it in the forum ad corner so maybe you could view it there vic.
I keep refreshing the page but it will not appear.
Typical! Just like London busses. When you don't want one they show up in threes.

I found it. I'm surprised you like it, Noel. It doesn't look anywhere near complicated enough to hang on that gizmo laden Mathews of yours. A real Mathews shooter would ask where the digital readout was.
You're not going all subdued on us, are you Noel? :D
