lol. if it's right above your office. like say a few feet (as how you're making it sound) and if they have afterburners... good luck to your ears :D

but how do you know it's the australian air force? for all you know it's the singapore air force! :P as far as i know in history they used to fly to aust. since flying straight for more than ten seconds or so will mean we're out of our own airspace. I don't know if they still have that agreement with AUS to use their airspace.

If that's the case, I'm glad New Zealand will have something better than a Boeing 757 to defend their country with.

At the Avalon Airshow in 2005 the Kiwi contribution consisted of a Boeing 757 taking off and flying around somewhere before landing.

Well the Australians are the only country i know of that have the F-111, but they are so old.

We had F-111's and F-18 fly down my street doing loops for the Sandown 500 and they were so loud i know what it's like burt66.
But you have to admit they sound good, even though they scare the crap out of you when they fly low.

and i think the Australian Air Force is going to retire all the F-111 when we get the new ones from the US

I was fine... i live close to an airbase in France... i use too see couple of Mirage 2000-N pouring at mach 1+ with nukes warhead 60 meter above my house....

but the kids at the school nearby weren't apparently, they were screeaming like hell!
