Have I read this right? The turkeys are painted not 3D?

Zenith Girl
09-03-2007, 03:09 PM
Hi apeman....no, the turkeys are most definitely 3D, they are just painted different colours to a normal McKenzie 3D hen or strutter. Some will have different score zones to a normal 3D target too, so watch out for them on the course.

To find the map and directions on how to find the club go to our website http://caboolturebowmen.3daaa.com and click on the link for Our Club. At the top of the page you will see a link in blue that reads How to get to the club, click on that and it will take you to the maps and directions.

Day 1 is over....... The Turkey's Won.

Back for more tomorrow.

Mrs Midget (Jackie :) )might have some scores for today

New just in...... 2Dogs didn't win and may have possibly placed.....4th:D

TMJ
18-03-2007, 12:53 PM
Well, that is a surprise SHERMO, who would have thought 2 Dogs, would ever place as high as 4th, next you will try to tell me Marcus has given him ADMIN rights, would be like putting a fox in charge of security of the chook yard.

Not sure what the scores were but 2Dogs wasn't in the Top 3 today, Dan Morgan won MBO, followed by Istvan and then Grant Buckeridge.

Hey we have a new nickname for 2Dogs - 7/11.
Tell me, how do you score 7 11 rings, when there is only one turkey out there with an 11 ring on it???? Very creative scoring 2Dogs!!! 10 out of 10 for trying

Scores will be up on the CAB Bowmen website in a few days.

4th :)........

Most likely 5th or 6th. :)

Had a great time shooting with the dancing Dingo, newbie John Kurzer and Mrs Teelow......even though she smaked her head into a tree today and bled all over herself. Still didn't shut her up but

My Nano experiment went very well today, these arrows smoke at 3D. 70# 410's these arrows have the best downrange velocity (smallest pin gap)compared to all my other ..fatter ..lighter...faster shafts.

Was testing to see how very skinny arrows compared to Fat shafts and the skinny ones held their own...... I shot better with them today significantly (4 5's being my poor distance judgment.....or the pegs were marked wrong

Mr Bloody Morgan smoked the field with 221 yesterday and 234 today :o .... that's mostly 10's all weekend. Grant shot a ripper 228 today. Istvan had a double 217.

I had a 202 (Mr 7/11 ;) ) and 219 to finish......somewhere

Great shoot!....should be more of it !!!!

Well done Caboolture, another great Turkey Shoot. For those of you who have not been to the annual Turkey Shoot, all I can say is that you are missing out. Definately one of the toughest shoots you will ever attend, as those little fella's don't leave much margin for error.

The Speed Round on Saturday arvo was a lot of fun, and I was very glad that I hung around to be part of it. Thanks again Caboolture, looking forward to Turkey Shoot 08.
