Any help welcome !

Bryce, Leigh and I all shoot 175 flexfletch.
Leigh and I have size 500 X10's and Bryce has 550's.
We have the fletches set at quite a big angle from straight.
We are each using full 110 grain points.

Sorry, I forgot the "why".
I tried both flexfletch and spinwings and found no advantage from the spin wings, and more difficulty getting clearance.
I also tried fletching one set with no angle and another set with a large angle, and found the angled fletches grouped better. Leigh did the same test and got the same result.
Both Leigh and I have tried very small fletches and found them to work as well.
Thanks for that info James was just what I was looking for. There used to be fletches around about 8-9 years ago called micro fletches, don't know if they are still around but alot of people at waverley put in some really good scores with them.

Erika shoots 150 sized vaes because I wanted to reduse drag at longer distance. However I am thinking that the 180 may be a better size as they are a lower profile than the 175 and 150's. If/when I get some X10's I will probably go to 175's again.
Bryce was saying at the short range that the Easton vanes, which I found wrinkkle with age, will pop back to normal if held over steam from a keattle. Anyone else found that?
Also just to point out that I bought a set of ACE's last year and have killed around 6. Erika got a set of X10's in August and has killed 0. That includes 3 into the wood above our targets. Awesome arrows and worth the money.
James you mentioned setting the fletches at quite a big angle, what sort of degrees are you talking about here ? Also was wondering the reason behind 110 grain not say 100 ?
Marcus dosn't Erika get a choice in what size vanes she wants ? hehe By the way Marcus you may be getting my girlfriend at your coaching course as I think I have conned her into the idea that it's fun shooting !!! And I'll be such a nice boyfriend I'll give her my mach 9, of course that will mean I'll have to get a nice new mach 11 v5 but thats the sort of nice guy I am ;)

Excellent. Archery girlfriends are good, they don't mind you shooting all day.
Yeah she gets a choice, sho chose purple, leaves the technical stuff up to me. :rolleyes
Before you buy a Mach 11, shoot my UltraTec. So far 4 people who have shot one have bought a TEC bow and quite a few more wanted one bad.

I put as much angle as I can get.
I also use the full 110 grain point weight because I want the arrows to be heavy (and hence drift less).
Just picked up my set tonight, they look pretty dam sweet, sadly my pins havn't arrived yet so the guy wacked the push in nocks for me to use until they get here. I went with the break off points instead of the tungston points mainly for price, like 850 bucks for 12 arrows isn't enough ! But the good thing is they are hot melted in so maybe down the track I might think of them but for now I'm happy with the normal ones, will post a review on the sight after I shoot them on the weekend
