Hi All

Now I have had two full shoots with my new bow.
I love it.

I am shooting a Martin ShadowCat, 55lb weight, 30" draw.
Finger release (for now)

Some of my muscles are protesting a little. But I am really enjoying getting out there.

A big thanks to Jim at NZAP (i don't know if they are active here)
and to Tony and Nell at the club in Hammy, Riverglade Archers.

I have already fallen foul of the Number 1 law of archery - you can not keep a full set of arrows!
Shot a nock. Lost a few fletches and one arrow escaped from me! :o

I am wanting to start fiddling already, sights, peeps, tabs etc.

I look forward to meeting you all online and maybe even at the odd shoot around the country

Cheers
Greg

Look forward to seeing you at some of the East coast bay of plenty shoots Riverglade is part of this good fun, good people and good numbers shooting. I have shot a Martin Pride for years good bows. Try and come to the eastcoast indoor shoot in June in Gisborne or the rosebowl teams shoot in Rotorua in May

I have a Martin Shadowcat....

It is a large heavy bow compared to my other three compounds. I use mine for indoor as it is 41 inchs ATA and relatively stable. It has required a lot of vibration damping to make usable and is not the sort of bow I'd want to shoot a FITA with. Compared to my '06 Allegiance or '05 AR34, it is a bit of a challenge as without parallel limbs as it bloody jumps in the hand.

Still for hunting....great for indoor, and aa good beginner/intermediate bow.

Hey Gizzy - I would love to, but we are expecting our second child late may early june, so I might have to aim for the next even.

Hey Paulrb - Since I have bought the shadowcat, I have seen some negative stuff about it, I guess I am lucky it is my second bow - the last martin I had I owned 10 years ago - so basically at this stage i have nothing to compare it to. SO it seems great to me.

plus it looks so cool in black with carbon fibre limbs ... :peace:

No, that would be a sure-fire way to get into the bad books!
