I only got home to find it in my inbox.

The previous informations that I had posted were about this competition, except by request of the convenor, I removed them because they were incorrect due to no dates being formally set at that time, and apparently would jepadise (spelling?) the event being held.

Ah, uni's. Sticklers for correctness. And it is jeopardise. :D

Will you get anyone entering? I will talk to Brett and another student member of my club.

We have several interested, however with a price tag of $50 (as most of our members are non AA), I fear it may be quite a turn-away factor. Car-pooling to Erina will be the way to go for transport so at least that will help keep costs down.

Wednesday & Thursday????
If I have a bow ill try and shoot it.

(My limb failed at Erina, then the following day Candy dropped a 60kg barbell on my bow smashing the riser, and limbs. Worst of all the Genuine! warranty claim on the failed limb is now gone, thus I am without a bow for however long?)

Ouch...... that is shockingly bad luck there Brett.

Yeah, it is a Wed and Thurs because it means the event will not clash with the Erina club activities on the usual weekends. It is a generic holiday for most of the uni's so the weekdays wouldn't be too much of a problem for the students.

Wow. Brett, that is bad news indeed. I saw from the results that you had problems last weekend, but a double whammy with the riser is terrible news.

Sad News...

Hi Don,

We have decided to cancel the university archery tournament scheduled for mid July due to a combination of insufficient interest and uncertainty in the aftermath of recent storms.

We are looking to re-schedule the event to a date in summer that would be suitable to university archers.

Thank you for your support for the event.

That is BS, I was looking forward to shooting it. You guys finally get a uni shoot organised, then they go and cancel on you.

Hmm, well, they said they needed ~20 people to shoot it. We had 5 people confirmed that wanted to shoot and upto another 4 who were interested... so obviously they weren't able to pull enough from the other uni's to fill that number.
