Office 2007

I finally got around to installing Office 2007 because OpenOffice was annoying me a lot.

Is there anyway, to err, make it look like 2004? The layout is HORRIBLE. :mad:

like wise. i like the tab menu's exposes more of the features, its like 'click-click. mail mergre' as opposed a sub menu of a sub menu of a menu (ifyou chose the right one.

Arial is a pathetic copy of Helvetica spawned from the deepest pits of Hell for Satan himself. (I.E. it is a poor copy commissioned by Microsoft).

Helvetica is the best font ever.

I've used Word 2007 for a few thousand words now and have had a poke around the other apps, I'm not quite as annoyed. Still getting used to it but it's kind of nice.

I've only dealt with powerpoint07 so far and all I can say is:

WHY????? why change it just when we've just learnt how to use it!

Anyway, back to the point, windings is the font to use!!

I think the worst is Access, I had a look around and it's messed up. All I could work out how to do was make a table, and I've been learning Access 2004 for 4 months in school.

I was a Beta Tester for Office 12 (now 2007) from the time pre-public release Beta's. If you don't like the layout now, well you would have hated the really early layouts (especially with "clear-type" before it got sort of stable).

It is far more extensible and has a pseudo open doc format which is OK.

Compared to Office XP and 2k3 when they were released it is actually quite stable and once you work the menu's out it can be simpler to use.

ClearType has been around for six years or something. Why was it causing problems now?
