Nah, just checking this out for a buddy and also for myself. We're both involved in different night entertainment outlets and the subscription for satellite movies (for businesses) is murder so was wondering whether this would be a cheaper alternative.

Get a throw-away email address and then download the book into a virtual machine... that way SPAM and malware are less of a problem. You could then make an informed decision... it is after all "Free"

What they are "selling" is 100% true. There are thosands of free TV stations out there on Satellite and you can find them on the net. A friend of mine installs Satellite SetTop boxes that come with lots of free channels.
Get a crappy email address and take a look at it.. No harm in it

That site looks awful. I wouldn't be giving them any money...
But there is some truth to it; I've seen a guy using an old 486 to decode UHF Sky over here - I assume with a modern computer there's no reason why you couldn't do the same to a digital satellite channel, assuming someone's written the software for it (or if you're a cryptography expert, you could do it yourself ;-)).

There is no need for a satellite dish as most of the channels i am aware of broadcast over the net, so no need to decrypt anything

So that's what's been slowing down my porno downloads. :behindsofa:
Guess the only way to find out is to try it myself. Was just hoping someone might have tried it or something similar first.
What we're paying right now is almost 10 times what home subscribers pay and we get 10 times less channels too. We used to use the SIM cards registered under residential addresses but the company has been getting smarter and tougher recently. :(

No idea why they're cracking down so hard on residential address registered SIM cards detected from commercial areas now but quite a large number have been caught, fined and blacklisted so we're not about to take the risk, especially my side since the outlet I'm working in happens to be in a pretty hot area for nightspots.
The main reason we can't afford to be blacklisted is because there's only one provider in Malaysia for sports coverage of major events, HBO, CNN, etc.

I'm a bit bummed about not having access to the foxsports channels (moved to the ACT and the missus put a stop to pay TV)
Had a real Matt Damon moment on the weekend as I organised for a friend to tape the bikes live, forgetting that our video player died a few months ago and we now only have a DVD player, so now I have a video of the Donnington race and nothing to play play it with.
Apparently I'm not real bright but I can lift heavy things... :)
