i got a cheap lap top and MSI (micro star international) not much change from $1000 but it has not let me down yet.... i think toshiba make it

The compaq's are a good buy at around $800. Can get them from harvey Normans and office works.

There not the fastest thing on the market, but for there price they are a good buy!

I got a reasonably priced IBM at Greys online (www.greysonline.com.au).

Had to bid for it but got it pretty cheap, goes great.
