350 70m

New PB at 70m, a 350 with a not very good 56 on the first end, slight breeze. A 348 and 349 the two prior to that. Now if I could just shoot a decent 90m I might be able to squeeze into the 80's.

Those are just practice scores. I've been averaging only about one FITA competition a year although I plan on doing more. They're a blast. My best practice score is 1371. I haven't been able to string all the distances together with good scores yet. It has been breezy every day I've been able to shoot this summer and I can't seem to do very well at 90m, a 335 being my best. It's been strange. I get there early to try and beat the wind but it's been there for the long distance and then dies down for my 70m then starts picking back up for the shorter distances. 50 has been in the low to mid 40's and sometimes I'll clean 30 if the breeze doesn't pick up too much. But I'm getting old enough I've learned to enjoy the ride and not press too much. I try to just shoot good form and take what I get and be content.
