I would like a quick poll of whether or not we should paint the iron kiwi, pictured below.
If it is painted it will be easy to identify on the target, will not tarnish/corrode.
If it is left as is, it will become rugged, yet still able to lose to the French in rugby, though look more like a kiwi.

nice and natural... Should be orange enough by the time of the cup to see on the target anyway.

Yep, buy a can of spraypaint and it's done. Easy.

Black and put a black target behind it so that the hole is harder to see.

the real question is why would u want to shoot a big kiwi?
Because the little ones are harder to hit!

so The One you have had the poll and you have seen the result so what will you do? Paint it? how many of those do you have around 'the course'. Not just one for one of those novelty events. Those kiwis would bew great for a conventional fiels round with the target 'attached' to it. I've been down this track before, it would really make it interesting.
4.....5......CLANG!!!
"I make that a 9 and here's a beautiful alum/carb flower"
"yeah, very nice. Put it in some water."
"I love the smell of crushed allycarb on the field course, smells like
..........victory!........as long as it ain't your arrow"
hmmm...yeah, I like that, archery with consequences.
I like New Zealand too, kinda no bull**** place, nice lighting.

we've got one and unique Iron Kiwi only! ;) The sole purpose of the thing is to have a fun shoot after our Matchplay tournament while the results are being sorted, etc....
I'm actually not sure if we shot it at the end of the FITA the first days or at the end of the second days....

We have just the one, to be shot after the matchplay on the second day. Looks like we're painting it :)
You could do a 24 target field round with it if you wanted.

don't paint it and get another 23 and make the course 'Extreme Archery'
Isn't that what New Zealand is supposed to be about.
New Zealand, the exteme sports capital of the world except woosy archery.
Bungee Jump Archery, wonder what the FITA world record is for that, c'mon NZ, get real, stick it up those woosy world archery 'comfort zone' record holders.
Tell you what this will be an event one day when we all 'push the boundaries' a la Rollerball, bring it on. First cab of the rank Dr. (toughguy) Phil followed by Mr. Whiz.
Love it!!!

Guess that's why we only have 500 people in the country who do archery ;)
