Moving on from the archer conduct, how do people fell about talking on the shooting line,

I'm a chatterbox, but I know when to hold my tongue, I won't push it with people I've never shot with before, but in competition, I won't speak til i'm at least 3m behind the shooting line

If you are trying to put me off then you are in for a long day, I can trash talk with anyone and it's motivational to me. Last one to try it went from 10 points up to 10 points down after 90m on the second day of a 2 day FITA.
If you are talking for social reasons but are polite about it I couldn't care less.

And very good at it :D
I couldn't care less either way.
I don't mind talking, as long as people don't mind if I hesitate to shoot.
However, Owen said something funny last Sunday just as I pulled through the clicker.
I laughed, flinched and almost threw the arrow right off the target...

Now why does that not surprise me ? :D

We practice trying to make each other laugh at full draw. Casey Simpson is the best at it bar none.

STFU, shoot your arrows and get the F off the line. Don't spot your last arrow, if you can't call or count, don't pick that job and pick up your rubbish after the day is over. Simple rules to live by at an event.

Swap Tough Furry Undies, shoot your arrows, and get the fluff off the line. Spot your last arrow if you are not last on the line, judges don't have a problem with that (in WA), if you can't call or count chances are you can't shoot either, it's all good, who cares? Don't pick that job up, let the person who owns the dog do it, but do pick up your rubbish after the day is over, especially your score sheet. Simple rules to live by at an event are boring.
Make it complicated and interesting and annoy someone you don't like by shooting better than them.

You would have it all covered except that last bit I think.

i am the same, if i get to know you well enough to trash talk, look out! lol
but i respect others on the line,
i think it makes for a beter comp than just shooting and and sitting there between ends all silent.
also helps juniors in matchplay get used to the noise,
