Pats Archery will now be offering PROTOUR testing shafts.

I have been asked by many for this service so it will be here soon :-)

Initially we will be getting Protours in 380/420/470/520/570/620/670.

Shaft Size's will be relative to the shaft size many variables.

380 - 30inch 29inch 28inch 27inch
420 - 30inch 29inch 28.5inch 28inch
470 - 30inch 29inch 28inch 27.25inch
520 - 30inch 29inch 28inch 27inch

All shafts will have FF187's Pins Pin Nocks (either Beiter or Easton) and whatever grain points you wish to test.

Three Shafts hire fee is $20 plus a refundable deposit of $120, after the shafts have been returned undamaged the $120.00 will be refunded, plus freight costs.

If you decide to buy Protours this $120.00 can be deducted from the Price of the shaft.

the arrows are being sent at the moment.

We will also be getting ACE's and X10's (recurve with Spin wings) as well.

This should save you some money in buying multiple spines.

Regards

Pat

I am would like suggestions for the Recurve X10 shafts on sizes, but these are about 6-8 weeks off I think.

I have gone through thousands of dollars in arrows over the years trying to find that perfect combo. I wish I had a service like this in the past and someone with pat's excellent technical knowledge to guide me through the selection.

I think providing this service for recurvers would be very useful, but also very difficult to implement because arrow length is much more important than with compound.

I suspect half inch increments would probably be OK for a rough guide, but quarter inch would be better. The Easton shaft selection chart probably gives all the information needed to decide on what lengths of what spine you would need to stock.

I doubt there would be any archers shooting an 830 with a draw longer than 26", or shooting 410's with a draw less than 30". Given that most archers keen enough to want X-10's are likely to be shooting at 35 pounds and maybe up to low 50's, the range of lengths for each would have to be maybe three inches at most.

Don't think going down to 1/4" is necessary.

Totally agree but yea I think 1/4' increments are asking for a bit much. I reckon you can probably eliminate the first four sizes and then the 700s and 650s would be for the smaller lengths?

Urban Archery is matching Pat's prices on X10's. Great to see their is now such a great selection of arrows to choose from in that price bracket.
