Hello everyone my name is Belinda. I am the owner of the Women Who Hunt website located at http://www.womenwhohunt.com.

I am in the process of finding a bow and bow set-up that is right for me but am having some difficultly. I have hunted since I was 14 years old but have never hunted with a compound bow before.

I have had one heck of a time finding a bow to fit me. I am 5'2" tall and have a draw length of 24" and there is not a whole lot of bows that are set up for a small person unless you go to a youth model and I don't want to do that. I can easily pull 45 pounds but want to be able to pull 55 without having to go to a different bow.

Can anyone give me some advice?

I really appreciate your help.

Have a good look at the SierraTec by Hoyt. It's a lightweight bow that will do 60# at your draw length. It's fast, looks great and easy to shoot.

Belinda, I believe I have talked to you before in the HN chatroom? I'm pretty sure it was you. But anyways Bowtech makes a bow perfect for ladies.... it's called the Ladyhawk (go figure) but it can be had in draw lengths from 20-26" and up to peak weights of 60lbs. Go here and check it out, it's under uni's: http://www.bowtecharchery.com/FLASH Good luck and good shooting,

Belinda,

I have a number of women friends who hunt with the Mathews FX and all have had only good things to say about that model bow.
