Yeah there is a practice for clout, look for a big stone wall, heaps of them in NZ. Bang your head against it for 5-10 minutes depending upon how much more brain damage you require to shoot clout.

You need a NZ type clout none of that boring woosy Pommy stuff.
Get up the top of a mountain range, cart up the tables, chairs, silver service, wine, BBQ, THE LOT!!! Get it all set up and shoot DOWNHILL clout at the bottom of the mountain, not six arrow ends, **** THAT!, you'll need 72 arrows for this clout. Shoot the whole lot into 'the flags', then set up the tables and chairs etc and have lunch. Send the judges off to score the arrows and find out who won. Then head back down the mountain to the local pub for 'tea' and the medal presentation and a few ales. Judges get as much as they can drink for free.

Now that's my kinda clout.

The clout only has sighters immediately before it - 2 ends of 6 arrows. each divided into two lots of 3, with changes to lollipops etc allowed between each set of 3, and collecting the arrows after each 6. Award for Robin Hood and Maid Marion decided on the first sighting arrow.

Max height of lollipops is... I think 15cm, with a max diameter of 7.5cm? Something like that anyway...

Just pick a cloud thats floating by at about the right height at the right time........instant target. Aim, release, lob and land somewhere around the target zone. Thats the only real way to approach clout, as they did at Agincourt all guess work.
