What is happening over at some of the more affluent universities? I know that Flarad was concerned that their club may fold with the introduction of VSU. I know that UWS now has no student union, after someone pilfered 3.6 million from the union bank account. Are the Uni clubs still going or are the students to tight to pay fees (like everyone else :))

Hi Brett,

We still exist, but memberships are really tight. We currently have 7 members.... but hopefully over the next few weeks, we will have some more trickle in.

It is quite a dire situation, and with O-Week just finished, the numbers of people joining up the smaller clubs was definitely down...

Sad to hear that, Flehrad. At least 7 members still allows you to be a club in ASNSW, but without newbies .........?

Wow only seven members, that is a real shame.

Andy Ward was showing me photos of the Uni clubs in Scotland, their Uni clubs are bigger than regular clubs (would be nice).

heh, new posts in the uni section.

The UNSW club still exists too, but I got out of it once VSU kicked in. I'm not sure how the current admins are doing.

OK, so I went back there last Saturday. It's actually going quite well under new administration. VSU has actually backfired a little and ironically (some) sports clubs may actually be better off with the forced restructuring of the Uni.

i'm going to give myself until the second year to ease myself into Uni and get back into study mode and then i will approach Deakin Uni to assist me in forming a club there. all you need is 15 expressions of interest and they will set you up. see what happens!
