Does anyone shoot these? I tried them out of my Nova with Beman ICS Hunters and they went like ****, even though I shoot bullet holes with field points. They seem to be terribly inconsistant, and somtimes flight is that erratic its friggen dangerous-Im talking about missin 2 hay bails at 20 meters!!! Are Black Stumps better? I dont really like the idea of spending $60 on a set of Muzzys-Anyone have any other suggestions?

G'day Brody,i shoot both ribtek and blackstumps and they shoot great ,try tuning for the broadheads ,they might need a stiffer arrow or your nock point might need moving a bit just becauce you say your field points shoot bullet hole your bow still mightn't be tuned.. i know heaps of people that shoot both these heads with no problems....matt

Hi Brody, Have you spin-tested them yet to make shure they are glued in right? The broadhead should spin true. you should check your tip/arrow setup and make shure they are balanced. you should expect some diffrance between field tips and broadheads. Personally i believe the blackstumps are a stronger and better head.

I have spin tested them and they came up ok, but they still shot poorly. Maybe its just a bad bunch, Ill buy some black stumps and see how I go, they do apear to be a much stronger head.

What sort of bow/arrow set up do you run? it could be the weight of the broadhed not matching with the spline of the arrow. I shoot a PSE Stingray set @ 65 pound with a 28 inch draw length and i use 2216 Easton XX75 Advantage shafts cut down to 27.5 inches that have 3 five inch veins. I only use the Blackstump vented broadheds and they shoot as good as my field points. before you go out and buy any more broadheads, paper test your existing set up with the ribteks and find out what the problem is and then work from there.

Brody,

I used to shoot vented Black stumps. Someone once told me that there's less wind shear with the hole. I also couldn't get ribteks to fly well enough.

i now used Outback broadheads which are made by a bloke in Ballarat. They are 130 grains and the fly the same as my field points out to 40 yards. Over 40 yards they drop a little but i can make that adjustment. I can get them to group really well out to 70 yards. So now i only need the one set of sights for target and hunting. They work really well and are only $3 each.

Brad just read your post And are interested in those outback braodheads you mentioned where can I get some I only shoot ribteks can't fault them some times it takes a little longer to them to spin right but on 2315's out to 35 not a problem

Takleberry,

A blokein Ballarat Vic makes them. His name is Allan (Woody) Woodward. His Phone No. is 0417 833 153. Address; 1408 Geelong Rd. My.Clear, Ballarat 3350.

As i said they're really good. I get them grouping out to 50 yards with my new Ultratec. Spine shot a pig last week, full penetration and the broadhead was fine.

Good luck,

Brad

Takleberry,

Myself and a mate will be up your way in late Aug early Sept. Looking for some grunters and buffs. Can you help.

Have got a property for Donkeys and camels. Would like to get a buff this time.

Maybe we could swap hunts. Have you or your mates down here for some deer!

Takleberry,

I've got heaps of deer properties as well as foxes. Just out this morning and found a new spot for red deer. It's red deer season down here til the end of July. Hope to bag one before then.

Can Shoot fallow all year round and have a couple of good places for them as well.

Sambar are all year round too. Heaps of place to go for them. Haven't tried the sambar yet.Going to do a bit after red season is finished.

Would love to get on to some pigs up that way. Sounds like they're big enough. Only been after the pigs once (two weeks ago).Shot one that came in at 27 and another that was 24. Would love to do some more, it was heaps of fun.

Outbacks worked really well. Shot foxes with them too as well as goats and rabbits. They're a good broadhead.

Maybe we can catch up when we get up your way??
