Some of the guys at my club are already subscribers and they recommended it to me. I think it is great - If I had 2-3 days solid, I reckon I could just about get to read everything on the site. As I don't have that much time, it will take me weeks and weeks to get through it - great eh?
The site has been invaluable already in getting some advise that was puzzling me, and as for some of the Aussie stuff that is available in you 'shop' well.... that is what shopping is all about.
I came across the Martin website listed on somebody's posting to Archery Forum - I haven't been there before and had a look - some good technical info thanks.

Cant quite remember how i found this site.
been looking at a new scope now for a while and found a referance to titan scopes somewhere on the web.
punched titan scopes into google and here i am.
not bought a titan yet but not heard a bad word said about them either
shame you dont have a shop in the UK stocking them......on second thoughts they would only put the price to something stupid anyhow.
good site though and gives me a chuckle wile working in my office
It's funny but I've never looked at this thread. I always thought it meant something else and would have said I found it informative, funny and very friendly.
For the life of me, I can't remember how I found it the first time but I'm glad I did. This forum has done more for my archery than anything else.

Hi all!
I'm new to this Forum and learned about it from a friend of mine who lives in Sweden. I think this Forum is rather refreshing, compared to some of the others, where there seems to be a lot of "intellectual masterbation" going. Also they are not very welcoming. This forum seems, even though they take their archery serious, a lot of fun.
I only noticed, after choosing my avatar, that there are already a few dogs on this forum. I suppose I can be running dog :D

I first heard of the site from Alan Pound, here in the West. He also recommended Mastering Compound Archery, so I went looking for that and found your site recently.
I shoot at Yokine, which is a very small club, and we have great Recurve coach :D , but not so much experience with compounds :( , so my son and I are pretty much a sponge for information, and your forum is a great source of information, and some fun.
I used to read the news groups, mostly rec.sport.archery but rarely found much useful stuff to help me shoot better. :-? :-? :-?
BTW - ordered the book from your shop last week and am waiting expectantly to receive, cos I need all the help I can get. Nice work with the online shop Marcus. :) :)
If I don't dsigrace myself too much at the WA State Target comp tomorrow and am feeling brave, I will post some form pictures and seek some help. :o :o :o

Thanks OD, Marcus they may have been referring to the level of foul language (Randall?) used in public forums, especially one such as this that attracts so many younger participants (and their parents.) Many forum moderators carry a zero tolerance on G Rated sites and nail that activity straight away.....not criticising, just hypothesising....this is a great site and one which is sorely needed among the Aussie archery fraternity, I especially like its cross-code participation (IFAA, ABA, AA and 3DAAA) and this should be venerated above all....cheers.... :bday:

I saw a post about it on another forum.
By far the best archery site I have found. Having just got back into acrchery for the first time as an adult I have been searching EVERY website for weeks voraciously reading everything I can get my hands on.
(This forum appeared in none of my direct searches; is there anything we can do to boost this Marcus?)
Some of Australia's top archers post regularly here and I found the information to confrim my new bow purchase decision. I even bought my bow from here; in fact from Marcus himself.
All in all a very well rounded forum and with the right supervision it can only get better

Hi Brian,
Great Eastland is a member of the SQAS and most of our members shoot compound, both target and field. I shoot barebow recurve and longbow.
We have an absolutely beaut little field course that meanders along the banks of the Wilson River, and usually the only sounds you'll hear while shooting are the kookaburras and an occassional noisy cow.

Question? Is there a way of listing the posts from newest to oldest by default without having to change it every time?

Surfing the net. I have just experienced archery at a resort and would like to see if there are any clubs in my area that give archery lessons. I live in Berowra(Sydney)
and would appreciate any advice.
Thanks
Northern Archers of Sydney would be the closest club and is located in Pennant Hills Park, Pennant Hills and runs regular Beginners Classes. The course runs over a 4 week period with a coach, and an additional 4 weeks shooting with club equipment, once qualified, is included in the cost.
I suggest you call the club house on 9875 4283 for further details.

I held a guy up at gunpoint and told him to give me all of his money............................. Wait a second........ that wasn't how i found this site....... i was looking for bows and asked questions about hoyts and one of the URL's was this site :D
A friend told me through the Orkut.
I love it... Like it muuuuuuuch better than the AT. Much easier to navigate and visualise. Maybe because there is less people, we can discuss things better.

A friend suggested this website to me.. I duly noted that.. Actually i have no idea what Duly noted means.. I just wanted to use it..
I came on here! And i discovered a wonder world where people use bows everyday!! And the fountains are flowing with copious amounts of alcohol!! Soft drink for the kiddies..
And the meat is great and tasty.. And regenerates every day.. Oh wait.. That was Valhalla.. Hm.. This place is kinda close!! :P

Marcus,
I find that I am reading AF a lot more and like this new improved website better to find subjects. I think you did a brilliant job for the recent indoor event, constantly updated and interesting to watch individual members and see there State and National rankings go up and down, as results came in from their individual States. While new to archery and still seeking equipment and finding my way to get some stuff, I sometimes find it frustrating looking at some items for sale only to find at the bottom of the thread that it has already been sold. Is there anyway that the thread can be closed/taken off the site ASAP after it has been sold. Just another thing, I write the newsletter for Sherbrooke and wonder can we include links to clubs, or put our newsletters on the FORUM for general reading, this may be my lack of knowledge about AF, but just wondering. This site is becoming increasingly popular for all archers and will be including this website in our newsletter for our archers. Thanks again for your work and those that assist you. Keep it up.:smilecolros:

Thanks for that, we had a great team working on that one and the support was fantastic. Glad you enjoyed it. We wanted not only archers shooting to enjoy it, but also those who did not compete to enjoy it.

That's a bit too tough I'm afraid as we would need to look through every post. 200,000 posts in and you can see that would be a nightmare of a job.
