We had an opportunity to practice the team matchplay event on the Wednesday afternoon of the Nationals.
Due to the very horrible weather, we ran this in the Twin City Indoor range.
In a bit more than an hour we were able to run through six full rounds (each of three ends of six shots).
We wanted to try archers in different shooting positions and in a few different team combinations. We also wanted the archers to have a try at positions they might not normally select, to see where they were likely to do best.
This practice was fully timed according to the FITA rules.
Hopefully the archers found it valuable - the Elite Compound Program committee did find it useful.
