3 Kiwi Archers Bring Back Medals

Field Archers Mike Lainchbury, Linda Lainchbury ( Lou ) and Terry Hand all travelled to Namibia this month to the world field archery champs.
Mike won Gold - the new World Champion
Linda won Silver and Terry won Bronze.

This is a fine achievement for all of the team to bring home medals!!

Thanks to all those archers that new about our trip and sent encouraging messages to us all. We appreciate the text messages and well wishes.

Mike and I are off to the USA 3D nationals in a few days so catch you all when we return.

Hahaha Thanks 2Dogs what the hell is " HTFU " :o Ok I am a bit rusty on the abbreviation side of things..... too much shooting and not enough computer stuff ;)

Yeah silver is a bummer, gear failure didnt help me but I picked up my back up bow on the last day and the scores showed managed to top score with the blokes that day and managed to get a respectable 2nd. Should have shot that bow mid week but was too hard to pick up the problem at that point. Hindsight is a wonderful thing...

Wish you had have gone mate you would have not only loved it there but cleaned up for sure!! Conditions were extreme to say the least, courses were the toughest any of us have shot - even the big boys suffered!

Nano Pros are shooting well by the way, lets see them do their thing in the USA!

I remember at the last worlds the Namibians were muttering about a crazly steep course. Did they carry out that threat?

Well done to my new countrymen! Fantastic to see the achievements! I think that anyone that has been will come back with more than just the medals!!! The memories that you have from Namibia will last a lifetime too.
