G'day Folks,
some of you will be aware of the project several people from TBGA have been involved over the past 10 months or so. Well, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting very close now. Here's a bit of a run down for those "AF"ians who perhaps have not heard about the mag project around the traps.

There are a few nicknames in here that some may not recognise from TBGA. My apologies for this but rest assured nicknames will be changed in publication to protect the men behind the myths :silly:

To quote "Antarcher" from TBGA:
Firstly, below is the cover. It will still have more detail on it and the stated 150 pages is incorrect. The mag will infact be a whopping 200+ pages. This is the main reason why it is taking longer and I do apologise to all who got their articles in early for the delay...

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f8/antarcher/email-cover.jpg

Now to the content, and this is the best part. The mag will have, in its final version, around 45 separate articles. Here is a list of those articles and the writers who have contributed to give you an idea of what it will contain.

1. Mark Southwell (maxy) Has written one about his unreal hunt last year where he and his brother Paul took some great reds and fallow.

2. Mackadalegend Has written a how to one about hunting goats

3. Mick Mason (Jindydiver) Navigation tips and techniques

7. Jamie Lynch an awesome NZ chamois hunt

8. Mick Baker (trophy bowhunts) features some fine kills by his clients

9. Antonio Lara (antarcher) tips on hunting deer

10. Justin (Hoyt Trykon) Higgins about his young bowhunting journey thus far

32. Shane Coppin (ozzyshane) His top 5 all time animals

33. Troy Reynolds Huge Rusa hunt

34. Grant Bowdy (Bowdy) Hare hunting

35. John Teitzel Buff hunt

36. Paul (Piggy) Thompson Sambar hunt

38. Paul Mayall His knife making business and tips

39. Ben Kleinig outback WA hunt

43. Ben MacDougall (Benno) Camel hunting in the red centre

44. Pete Novakovic (pego) Utilising your game

There still may be a couple of very last minute entries, but that is the list as it stands at the moment. As I have stated before i am looking very forward to getting this thing out and I am sure that the presentation of the articles will do all the writers justice for the fine efforts.

If anybody has any questions or comments then please feel free to let us know.[/i]

And a bit more from Antarcher:

Not far off now people. Just doing the last finishing touches to get it to print and it will be out. He is the promotional ad of what it will look like and a little taste of what is in it. I am busting to get it out let me tell you.

It says "New Annual Magazine" so perhaps it's only a once a year thing?

Just to let you all know that there is no set price as yet as the print and distribution costs are not finalised as yet, only ball park figures to work on as the mag just kept growing and growing. Once this is all sorted in the next couple of days, then the price will be known. Thank you for being patient once again.

Hi Luke

any chance of a space for a 'Jim Reid' perspective in the next annual

for example....

"A Good Hunter Thinks Like The Hunted"

or.......

"Respect Your Prey"

or.......

"Don't Just Hunt A Photo Opportunity"

what do you reckon Luke, sure your bowhunter mates would enjoy a view from a different perspective, 'specially now that I'm a bit of a celebtity an' all.

could tell 'em about the day I snagged a nice piece of real estate in Darwin with compound interest on the 65% let off fee. Got a couple of stuffed tenants above the mantlepiece to prove it. Show no mercy. ;)

I'd like to see this get off the ground.
Then maybe there would be more enthusiasm to do a Target Archery annual magazine...

Got to see a copy of this yesterday and it was VERY impressive.
The quality is first rate. Really nice finish and graphic design.
Heaps of high quality photos as well. It's thick and yet only costs $15! That's incredibly cheap for an annual mag of this quality.
I'll be stocking them at Urban for anyone in Melbourne to come and get, otherwise ask your newsagent for them.
Well done Ant, Luke and everyone else the Bowhunters Group for making this happen. :thumb:

Just bought the mag (novel?) today and WOW, what a great read it is going to be! It is huge! Best value for money mag I have bought so far:thumb:. Lucky it is only annual, I think it will take me that long to get through it:D.

Great work guys:thumb:.

One suggestion tho? I think the next issue's sales would sky rocket with a pic of me on the front cover:thumb::D.

Picked up a copy of the mag yesterday. Great looking and not a bad price. I am not personally a bow hunter but it's a great read. Look forward to the upcoming additions.
