Has anyone tryed these arrows? I just set up a set and found out something that I should have been told right away when I order them. If you look at the Beiter outsert nock it is slanted where the string snaps on. When I fletched them, the fletching are not even because the shaft would rotate because of this. Not sure what to do. I am going to try shooting them out to 70 meters first before switching to the McKinney nock system.

Thanks for the help, and glad to be a part of this forum. Looking forward to some great info here.

Hi LeEarl good to see you here.
I've shot the CT Royals with the Beiter nocks and found they shot OK. You want the slanted end up and is easy to remember after a while. I wouldn't glue the nocks in unless you had to.
If the fletching is wrong you should redo them.
BTW both myself and my Dad had problems with the green/yellow nocks cracking. Don't know if it's still a problem. The Blues were fine.

Otherwise their pin nock system looks good, and the Beman overnocks also work well.

Be aware that the Pin nock system for these arrows isn't very good.

1. they don't fit very well and after glueing them you have to test them on an arrow straightener to see that they are in straight. Making small adjustments until they are right.

2. one slight bump on the nock end of your arrow and the shaft will split. Try putting cellothane tape around the end of the shaft where the pin goes in. that will help a bit.

The guys i know that are still shooting the pins, have cut down the old aluminium nock adapters, so that all they are is a small sleeve that goes over the shaft and the pin fits into the hole in the adapter. Adam Richards & Brian Politis are doing this.

Too comlicated for me.......buy the Olympians.

You can buy an adaptor to fix up the bieter nocks for fletching .

I had the same problem with the nocks on my doosung arrows . the adaptor didn't fit so I made my own adaptor out of an ace "g" nock and some brass.

Hey....Tohjin u r here too... :D

hi guys, any idea if the Beiter outserts orientation(the slanting side) affects a compound bow or a recurve or both?

Any diff using Sportser and Mckinny? I have been using Mckinny for long time but only changed the Beiter outserts recently.

All the slanting side does is show you want way the nock needs to be. The Biter nocks are designed so at Full draw the nocking point fits into a small grove so it doesn't pinch the nock. By using it the wrong way you are not allowing that to happen.

You can see on the above picture how on the top cross section there is a diaginol line when the string will sit at full draw. Not look at your nock around the grove and you can see the cut out.
Will it make you go from a 1200-1400 archer? No. But every bit of consistancy does help.

Doesn't shock me about teh carbon splitting. That is the reason points on all carbon chafts have always beed over points. All carbon arrows just are not strong enough. Reason enough to forget the McKinney's and shoot Doo Sungs.

I have tried the Beiter nocks and found them to very substantially increase the probability of arrow damage compared with G nocks, and no more accurate but much more expensive. Hence, I have abandoned them.
