I just drastically changed form and set up on advice from coach due to bad form and bad habits, so basically starting again, with the knowledge of knowing what should happen and how to go about it.
So after a month of working on form with new arrows (1 1/2" Longer) I am starting to get back up to where I was 4/5 years ago. (4 years ago i was Fitter, and had reasonable form).
So last night I shot an indoor Fita25 (unregistered) at our local indoor.
May 2003 I shot a 255 and a 251 for a 506/600
Last night I hit a 262 and a 262 for a 524/600
Not great scores in the world realms of archery, but a shining light at the end of the tunnel of hard work for me, after only one month of working smarter and a little harder
I now have that hunger back,

Excellent tropicalshot, doesn't matter how big the improvement, as long as it's an improvement.
Keep up the good work:thumb:

well one rung at a time on the ladder of success,
this week same set up and round
260 and a 266 = another little step up the ladder :thumb:

Good shooting Darren,
But remember, "as you climb the ladder to success" and look down on us poor mortals from dizzy heights, there might be a big guy named Cess waiting at the top for you!

just an update on form improvements.
6 weeks ago I drastically changed form and set up on advice from coach due to bad form and bad habits, so basically starting again, with the knowledge of knowing what should happen and how to go about it.

,
well our june Fita was on sunday 8/06/08,
i set myself a quiet goal of getting my 1000 fita star again (lost paperwork prevented me from receiving the first one:mad: )with at least a mid 1000 score,
i had set my self a goal to get 1125 by the end of the year and look at 1150 next year,:o
so taking the advice from plenty of people (thank you) i just concentrated on form and each shot as it came,
somehow i did not even mentaly add up the scores after each end or distance to see how i was going, but on the 30m i figured i had the 1000 star,
in May 04 i managed to shoot an 1104 (but again paperwork trail  )
so as we were adding up at the end of the tournament i was pretty pleased when the scorer said
Tropicalshot = 1125 (not only my PB and Goal but 1100 Star) :D
onward and upward this old fella is climbing that ladder,
thanks to the Coach :thumb:

Congratulations TS, but why stop at 1150? Seems a bit too conservative to me, why not aim for 1200 or 1250? Going on your form last year when my records show you had really bottomed out, listening to your coach has picked you up over 200 points, so maybe if you listen to your coach even more intently you just never know, you may even pick up another 200 (if you want to do it, do it now, you're not getting any younger you know) :D

one step at a time, i dont want to place expectations of 1200 or 1250 on myself only to be frustrated or dissapointed if i dont reach it quickly,
one rung at a time is how i wish to procede, if i get there sooner well even better ;)
