After talking to the guys from Sherbrooke who attending the ranking shoot I am inviting the Sherbrooke shooters to compete in the next DVA League starting Saturday 14th of June
Here is how it works
At 2pm we start shooting a Half FITA round. 3 ends at each FITA distance. At the end the score cards are handed to one member who emails me the results.
I then process them and release them on the DVA site (usually when I get home)
http://comps.dva.asn.au/leagues/outdoor/
It is a handicap event with your handicap adjusted each week to prevent sandbagging. The winner from DVA will be presented with a trophy, should a Sherbrooke archer win we will arrange a trophy for them.
The round shot can depend on experiance, however I suggest one of the following
Half Mens FITA (senior Men or women or U18 boys or Vets)
3 ends at 90m on a 122cm face
3 ends at 70m on a 122cm face
3 ends at 50m on a 80cm face
3 ends at 30m on a 80cm face
Half Ladies FITA (senior Men or women or U18 boys or girls or Vets)
3 ends at 70m on a 122cm face
3 ends at 60m on a 122cm face
3 ends at 50m on a 80cm face
3 ends at 30m on a 80cm face
Half Fremantle (Senior women or U16 or 60+ Vets)
3 ends at 60m on a 122cm face
3 ends at 50m on a 122cm face
3 ends at 40m on a 80cm face
3 ends at 30m on a 80cm face
Half Horsham (U12 or beginner recurve archers)
3 ends at 40m on a 122cm face
3 ends at 35m on a 122cm face
3 ends at 30m on a 80cm face
3 ends at 25m on a 80cm face
Round doesn't matter too much as long as it is shot over the entire course of the event. Obviously a older compound shooter should not shoot a Horsham etc.
10 rounds are required and shot weekly, except when a state tournament is on.
Any questions ask here
