We know know the finalists for the World Cup. They seem to be a very talented group.
MC:
Pagni: purple target award, 30th WAC07 (2nd in the FITA)
Coghlan: purple target award, 1400 Star, 5th WAC07 (won 90M)
Hofer: purple target award, 1400 Star, 90M World Record, 10th WAC07
Trillus: purple target award, 1400 Star, 30M World Record, World Champion 2007
WC:
Van Natta: 1400 Star, multiple World Records, 13th WAC07 (qualified 2nd)
Buden: 6th WAC07
Simpson
Bouillot: 1400 Star, multiple World Records, 3rd WAC07
Quite a number of 1400 Star holders missed out (and some did not try).

Why would they only accept the top four places to the world cup it would seem that the host nation has drawn the short straw. Very short event.
It must be great to know that if you are good enough to qualify then you are automatically garanteed a place 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th.
I would think that the top ten would be a more realistic number to chose the world cup champion from.
Well then, since you seem to know something the World Cup organizers do not, perhaps YOU can come up with a revenue stream to support an all-expense-paid trip for 40 people rather than the present 16.
There is a plan to expand the finals to five participants in each category.

I actually like the 4, it really means you have something to strive for at the World Cup Events.

I actually got to come to this shoot !! Yay!!
It's official practice today. Weather is beautiful (in the afternoons) bit cold in the mornings. There's a bit of a cool breeze blowing in off the alps. 1395 -1400 weather according to Pat.
News at the press conference (which none of the English speakers were on the panel for) was that Park and Park (The Korean olympic champions) have gotten engaged.
We have internet back at the hotel to give you info but not at grounds, still working out what to do for SMS. Probably try to sms clare to post updates.

Thanks,
Archery Australia for giving me the opportunity to attend 3 World Cups this year.
It has been an opportunity that I have been very grateful for.
Being given this opportunity has dramatically improved my shooting, having support from the National Governing body has been exceptional, I know other Countries want what we have :-)
Thanks again
Pat
