Archery Weight Systems is now sponsoring archery forum.

AWS offers almost anykind of custom machining work you need for your gear. a few of the items on offer are;

Custom stabilizer weights, Soma CEX2, Beiter, Doinker
Custom riser weights, Bowtech, Hoyt, PSE
Custom threads
Adapters, so you are not limited by the thread on your current stabilizers
Custom Harmonic weights for Mathews Bows
Custom solid stainless extenders 1,2,3,4,5,6" 5/8" diam

You can order a specific size or weight of a weight. and i can work around that.

All products are machined from solid 316 stainless steel and polished. everything is made by me in Australia with Australian Machinery & Tooling
I can also do weights in brass by special order only and will attract a slight increase in price

PM me with any inquiries on prices and orders, i'll try and get a full price list up soon.

please note, i do not do any metric thread work

orders go out ASAP, usually the day i recieve payment.

cheers

The weights did indeed arrive yesterday. They are very well finished and fit beautifully. With the flimsy silicone(?) washers they don't rattle at all.

They feel good on the bow, which seems to sit a little more still at full draw. I have at this stage only shot a few arrows at home, so any feedback on their effectiveness will have to wait.

What I really like is I can now balance out the weight of the sight and rest on the riser, so now my side rods are the same length and make a better bow stand ;) :silly:

The chocolate frogs were a nice touch too :D

glad to hear you like them sandy :thumb:

i punch the washers out of vinyl, i find its one of the best materials to hold them on as it tends to grip/stick with no damage to the finish on the bow. i've tried dozens of materials but the vinyl still takes the cake. and it doesn't add anything to the price of the weights, as i can make 150,000 of them for about $20 :)

Back weights to suit Mathews and Bowtech, screw into the rear stabilizer bushing. they can also be used on recurves in the threads near the limb pockets and the back of the riser

a few prices on the 5/8" diameter solid stainless extenders;

$40 Posted for a 1" stainless extender 38gr
$45 posted for a 2 or 3" stainless extender 78/118gr
$50 posted for a 4" stainless extender 158gr
$55 Posted for a 5" stainless extender 198gr
$60 posted for a 6" stainless extender 238gr
Add $5 for express post

I can make them longer, shorter or a size in between the sizes stated. just ask for a price

They're also great for adding a bit more weight to the riser without adding forward mass to the bow. i can also make them from 3/4" or 1" diameter stainless if your only after the weight not really the length (will incure a higher price).

they do have a 5.5mm hole drilled through the side of them as any normal extender would so you can tighten them up properly. and for an additional $15 i will send a full stainless steel tommy bar to tighten them with (no extra postage charge).

Some pictures of two 3" extenders, the photos dont do them any justice they look much better in real life. all outside threads are polished and cleaned so they wont damage the bushings in your riser. all edges are chamfered at 45degrees.

The string jigs i will be offering will be a completely portable/collapsable jig. im making them so all you need is a spanner/shifter to reduce them down to a size that will fit in most bowcases and archery bags.

they will be a 4 post design. each post being 170mm tall from the top of the base of which they are attached to.
the posts will be available in 15mm or 18mm in diameter (solid steel)
the posts will be fully machined and polished so they will not damage strands.

the jig will be in two sections so you can clamp it to a table, kitchen benchtop or buy a 2x4 or square section steel to permenantly fix it to

of course i can do anything to you specifacations, allowing you to customise your jig to suit your needs

im making one up at the moment so i will hopefully have some pictures up soon

a few pictures of the end pieces of the string jigs, they're aren't yet finished of course. but just to give you an idea of what they look like.

threads dont actually take any pressure with this design, which makes it stronger. its also very light

the posts are set 240mm apart and the posts are 140mm above the steel. the steel is 40x40mm square tube with a black satin enamel finish. the pegs are 15mm in diameter and polished

Here are some pictures of a Custom made string jig i have just finished. they will not be in regular supply until the year is out.

fairly portable jig, weighs about 5kg. can be clamped to a bench top or permanantly mounted on steel or timber base. tensioning capabilities to about 300lb.

i will also be offering just the two U-shaped end pieces if people would prefer a jig like that
