I dont know about the best, it's all personal opinion, but the Cybertec at the shop balanced perfectly with nothing on it... I might have to try it for hunting and then see about one for target too.

Go Hoyt Recurve Bows. But I have heard that the Martin Aurora is a very nice Recurve bow but, it cost more than the AeroTec.

Hoyt Protec. Awesome bow! Planning on a Protec with Spirals next. Should be a shooter!

Yes, the Aurora is a very nice bow! More expensive than Hoyts in Australia but worth every penny! :)

I Work at a pro shop in Utah and I asked my boss about the Aurora. He says it does cost a lot. But the thing that I thought was intresting was he said that he has had one ordered for three years and still doesn't have it. I geuss they haven't been put into production yet

Yes, they are in production. They've been making them since early last year, I think. Tell the guy with one on order to contact Lancaster and they can get one for him. They did have some trouble with the limbs at one point - the paint/resin wouldn't set properly in their first batches - but they fixed that and have been making them since. A very nice riser, quite heavy and very stable.

Looks like the new Martin with FuryX for target for me. Going to get one of the Bowtech's for hunting, not sure which one yet. So who else is getting new bows?

What are the choices in bows for an 11 year old kid?
Currently shooting PSE Spyder 20lbs @ 21 inch draw. Bow is at its limit on poundage, and can handle 40 metres, but will need to make 55 metres to shoot U/14.
What bows start at 25lb @ 21 inch and have enough adjustment to last for a while?
Thanks

sorry, i dont know much about low poundage and short drawlength bows.
thats the problem for juniors isnt it, finding a bow that will be good at the moment, and further down the track when you want to wind it up, or make it longer.

Those Martins are a very good starter bow. here is the web site for the Tiger. they have a 20# a 30# and a 40#.

I also think Browning makes a little higher end compound for younger archers.

I agree. Apparently (not ever shot one) the Tiger is a great starter bow, a junior in my club shoots one! Does anybody know if Hoyt still make their junior bows, can't remember what they are called, might be a sprint or something.

Banshee:
Built exclusively for kids, the Banshee is incredibly easy to shoot and with the adjustable wheel, it will provide years of great shooting as your young archer grows.
