Dental floss

Hi all,
I have been advised to put dental floss on my string under the arrow nocking point (to stop the arrow slipping down). I got some floss today but I dont know how to get it to stay on the string. Do I use a bit of glue or can it be heated/melted? :o

Cameron, you can tie it on like you tie on a nocking point ( series of overhand nots left over right then reef not to finish) and then reinforce it with glue (fletchtite or similar ) or you can use a whip finish (like binding on a line guide to a fishing rod and then glue. That is the way that I do it if I need to it looks neater than the other way. I don't think dental floss melts enough to use the flame method of fastning.
