Marcus and others,
For those who have access to a machine that will actually shoot a bow, have you ever intentionally detuned the bow, but not to the point of its being unsafe to shoot, then shot the bow for grouping ability with the same arrow at 18M/20yds? Longer distances?

If so, what are your findings?

Don, I know of no one in Victoria with such a machine .

The closest we have is Clint

What do they look like

No no access to a shooting machine, however I want one real bad and am considering getting a Hooter Shooter from Spot Hogg.
I figure if you put your bow into a machine and it doesn't group then you can work on it. If it does group but your scores are not what you would like you know it's you.

Here is what one looks like

Any idea how much they cost?

$2000-$2500 Australian.
If I got one I'ld rent it out to recover the cost.

Archers,
They are very helpful in most cases. But some will still disagree when shown that lack of performance is not the fault of the bow!

Ah yes however it does help remove one factor.
