I think I've had my bow about 3 weeks now and couldn't understand why people kept on about losing arrows and breaking arrows etc.

1) I went down to the club to practise today. Thought I'd try this closed eyes training from about 6 metres. I released the arrow but instead of hearing it hit the butt I heard it hit the tree branches. Yep! Through the trees and into arrow heaven. R.I.P. Jazz Easton.

2) Went back and thought I'd shoot some from 60 metres just for fun. On about my 2nd shot the arrow went kinda sideways although still managed to hit the target. On inspection of the bow string I saw that the metal nock had fallen off. :o Couldn't find it but had a spare with me. 8)

3) Charlie was also at the club today and kindly gave me some coaching from 20 metres. :D I was grouping quite well and had several arrow collisions. Resulting in busted nock and torn fletch. :-?

Does this mean I'm a real archer now :D

LOL welcome to the arrow busting sport of archery, rule number 1 rears it's ugly head! :)

Cameron,

Fraid so, welcome to archery... the more you shoot the better the score and group, but the downside of this of course is what you are experiencing. Keep up the practice, your scores are improving weekly.

:D :D
