My "special" fishing rod exists no more. I'm not sure if the Colonial has shared with you my experience with the NSW Fisheries department, but suffice to say, I won't be bowfishing for carp any more!!

Jacob, I think bowfishing is covered under the same category as spear fishing.

I learnt a long time ago where not to spear fish. :oops: :roll:

Yes, I now realise that spear-fishing and bowfishing are subject to the same rules. Unfortunately, I didn't realise this at the time of my little run-in with the Fisheries boys! Although, they were pretty cool about everything and didn't give me much hassle, provided I don't do it anymore!!

I guess I wont be showing the photo of the monster carp. Erm that I caught by hand.

All I got was 6 small leather jackets, cost me a trip to the court house. :x

I didn't even get my fish back.
