2 sets of arrows need 2 different nocking points, so what do people do? Does anyone else have this problem? What is the best solution?

That's a good point Marcus. Technically you are quite correct, in many cases two sets of arrows from the one bow would bee seen to need two nocking points. If the problem is so severe that the second set just wont groupwith the firsts nocking point, then maybe look at some kind of adjustable nocking point on your bow, and carry you're bow square everywhere you go. The only time I had ever shot two sets of arrows out of one bow was the AccuTec with my X7's for indoor, and ACE's for everything else. I didn't even attempt to tune the X7's, just tuned the bow for ACE's, then shot the X7's as they were. They came out just fine, and that's the setup I shot my best indoor scores with. Having said all that, indoor arrows of course are not nearly as critical, and if you wanted on set for target, and say, the other set for field, it could mean some issues.....

Marcus,
I know it sounds a bit extreme, but could it be as simple as another bow string (easy for a recurve, maybe not so for a compound). I know of a few recurver's that use a white bow string for indoor and black for outdoor, this would take care of nocking point. Keeping notes on pressure button, brace height and tiller to switch between the two.

I don't know, it's what I was planning to do to shoot X7 cosmic eclipes indoor and Doo Sung tripples outdoor.

I had thought of that one Gary, but a little bit of a pain with a compound, but doable. If I can't find another solution that may have to be it.
thanks

Marcus ,
Depending on the difference , you may be able to tie on a nocking point that you nock over for your aeros and under for your doosungs . or you maybe able to set a firm nocking point for your aeros and then tie on a new one under the main nock in a different color thread to shoot your doosungs . it would be easy to do once your square was marked , may only need a couple of knots . :P .

See you for a shot next friday night.

Nah I was getting up and down. 18m from top of 10 to bottom of 10. At 55m it was as large as the 8 ring on a 122cm, nice left right though, would've been 6X's....honest! :)

I use a golden premiere rest and that has a fair adjustment for the "up and down" I am sure that if you used one of those it would give you the desired amount. That is if the amount of travel is not greater than about 3/4" (sorry about that still not used to this metric stuff). You would be able to mark on the rest the two settings, and the rest has either a lizards tongue, carbon cup or prongs, maybe thats only a solution for us IFAA shooters.... :D

I shoot both ACEs and large X7s out of my Scepter, and simply change arrow rests. A pair of GK Premiers, like Steve B, and a pair of scope blocks for my SureLoc sight, and it's never been a problem switching from indoors to outdoors without retuning or re-sighting-in..
