Hey
I'm picking up my Chappy Boss again and one thing about it is that it's really noisy to shoot. As it sits next to my ear I ear a loud click when it goes off. Anyone know how to make it quieter?
(funny thing is someone commented how quiet my Hoyt was while I was shooting it, I just sat there thinking "really! I can't hear anyone elses bow over this release")

 I don't think so, although I thought of trying that magic stuff you have there on it. Definity sound of the cocking mech hitting the case. Maybe a rubber pad would be better.
smart ass! :D

Actually the release is meant to do that.
It works like a rifle firing pin. As you press the button the pin fires into the head setting it off.
That noise you here is the pin hitting the head. I don't know how you could silence it without affecting the performance of the release.
On a side note concerning TRU Ball releases I've got the demo Sweet Spot again. Problem is the rubber ring around the head has become stretched and as you draw the release the two halfs of the head come away from each other and it goes off halfway throught the draw.
Surely this release doesn't rely on a bloody little piece of rubber O ring to operate correctly.
Any ideas???............this was one of the first sweet spots made, so maybe they've upgraded it

I had that problem too. If it's set too light it will happen. You need to shoot that release pretty course. That's why I ordered the Tru Tension instead.
