The DVA Feb FITA entry forms are ready to go, and you can register online at
http://comps.dva.asn.au/enter.lasso

If you register before 1st of Febuary you will get $2 off!
Fees are $15 adults and $10 for juniors.

There will be a Teams event as well. Each team will consist of 4 archers, we will take one distance score from each archer to make up a Mens Fita (or if an U14 is used then their shortest distance for the 30m score) and the highest scoring team wins.

For example if DVA has a team like
Marcus: 290, 320, 325, 354
Colin: 300, 319, 327, 349
Erika: 340, 346, 335, 352
Sten: 325, 339, 326, 348

We take one distance from each archer to make up a FITA. So
Colins 90m: 300
Erika's 70m: 340
Stens 50m: 326
Marcus' 30m: 354
Total: 1320

You can download the PDF entry form on the site above as well, but we will send out.
See you all there

I would have probably been up for doing that. The bugga that was buying our house in the UK pulled out, if he didn't i would be there for a few weeks while my parents move.

We will most likely only be able to have room for about 45 entries, and 26 are now taken (with most of DVA having not entered yet)
so if you are coming please register online now. I have not recieved entries from Sherbrooke or Moorabbin yet.

Weather is looking good: 38 degrees with 30 knot winds (luckily, archery is all about winning and not much about scores  )
Wonder how many of us will chicken out? (probably me half-way through!)

We will have ice water on the field for people top help themselves to.
(it will be in dispensors, not on the grass)

Also please check your target allocations when you arrive, things have been moved around somewhat.

bugger that! :o

I went to DVA this morning to see a man about a dog and the weather was horrible!
38 degrees + and blowing a gale.

Damn happy i'm not shooting. Don't expect to see many amazing scores coming from this ranking round.

Typical Morrabbin weather? I could not attend - had to work.

Worst conditions I've ever shot in by far.
Will report once I've had a shower and a nap

here are the results.

My favourite part was when the timing control system (which is of significant bulk) blew of the DOS's desk and broke (woops!), causing a reversion to the trusty stop-watch and whistle method after lunch
