Home from Sydney.... Soo glad to be home in our own house, bed, and cooler Melbourne Temps.

Vic Team had a ball... Made lots of new archery friends. Caught up with lots of old ones. Some Juniors had someone to compete for the first time since joining archery.
Great shooting by everyone. This was a fantastic experience for everyone, only one member of the team did not bring home a medal. (But we all got a Winning Compound TEAM Medal - even Eric and I.) Several National Records were broken by Vics this week.

We are sending at least 4 of the Victorian Team Members to New Zealand for the Trans Tasman Junior Challenge at Easter. And one to UK for the World Junior Target Comp.

You will see some serious training from this group over the coming months. Just give them a couple of days to recover as it was a very tiring week for Juniors, Parents and Team Managers.

What's the deal with scores to qualify for the Junior Worlds? the qualifying score for u18bc is 1320 and Chris only shot like 1293 (I don't mean only in that sense) but yeah what's the deal? how can he be considered?

Did those submitting interest have to pay $50 to register for the team? Did they also ask people to register on the day?
Seen that done before just to raise money.

Anthony,

And just think how much worse it would have been for you at the Jnr Nats had Bob Armstrong not fixed your noisy bow!

My bow was noisy before during and will be after the juniors, so I take it that wasn't an attempt at a put-down :D (for want of a better word) sure my string and cables may have not lasted the rest of the nats with practically 0 twists in them, but damn that changed the friggin sight settings :-? Not like I was gonna get a string settled in, and solid sight setting, with nice cam-timing and perfect all that in three days...

Nah, anyway it was good of him to help me though.

Can't keep making excuses tho, just gotta be prep'd for that sh#t when it happens really. :(

You would if you used 452X or 450 Plus. Put mine on, went oout got sight settings and shot a FITA 3 days later. Sight settings fine.

I would have been alright if I had even a half shot-in string, problem was, I had only just settled in the original set of cables/string.

I guess the moral of the story is get your bow and make two sets of strings/cables when u get it, on exactly the same settings
(or order 2 sets of WC's if ur 2dogs)
and put 500 shots through the first set, then chuck the 2nd set on and settle those in. (instead of the ****e martin-made ones)

 Bit of a long moral i spose, but works for me :)
