I have just bought this rest tonight and thought I would write down some of my findings.
Having spent most of Sunday trying to tune an old ****ty rest with a snake tongue blade I decided to buy something with some adjustment in it.
2 choices. Goldern Key for $220 or a Cavalier Shadow for $140.
The Goldern Key has a good reputation and an assortment of blades. However the Cavalier is ver adjustable and comes with a PSE mounting bracket. I like that because I shoot a PSE and like equipment that fits together and doesn't move. Also the rice was a factor.
I bought the $14 snake tongue blade too to shoot my ACE's with.

Well I got my new toy home put it one and the first annoying thing is that the arrow guard doesn't fit. Had to remove it. Real shame.
I removed the huge prongs and put on the snake tongue and guess what. There is not enough clearence on the Mach 5 to allow the rest to drop it's full distance now.

Now while this may not be a problem on all PSE's it is very frustrating that it doesn't say "doesn't fit on a Mach 5" :mad

Well I may have it tuned anyway, will post a review after a day of shooting with it.

Aren't universal fittings on all bows a great idea!!!:rolleyes

...look forward to reading a review :)

PS Im now posting from my laptop running red hat 7.1, and exhausted from three long nights of hardware configuration :D

Well the rest is no more. After 2 days of trying to tune it I have put it in the tackle bow and am shooting a Spigareli drop down rest. Very very disappointed. If I got clearence it wouldn't group, if I got it grouping it wasn't clearing (and bad shots went a long way away). Spent ALL day today working on it too. Right now I hate archery, hate Cavalier, hate PSE, hate Easton, hate the Denver Broncos (nothing new there) and hate shoot over rests. :( :( :( :mad :mad :( :mad

I say w take up Longbow, then if something goes wrong we can take to it with a knife! :D

Could love to slice and dice my gear sometimes.

It's going to be hard to review too because it's a nice rest, but I'll never know if it could shot well. :(

What was the drop away rest you put on after the cavalier, how did that go for you??

:eek mmmmmmm, I've got a good three piece takedown hunting recurve in the garage and some woods! :eek, maybe I should get that out!!!

That was a Spigareli. It shot OK. When I shot them well they hit the X on the Fita faces. Unfortunatly I was so tired from 4 weeks of tuning that I couldn't hold each end together. We will see how it goes on Wednesday night, can't let Erika beat me again :) she'll get arrogant.

ave you seen that tiny compound I have? I might just shoot that. It's about the length of your forearm and can fire a arrow about 60m.

I was thinking a drop away rest might be better than the Golden Key, David seems to be a huge fan of them, and alot of target guys seem to shoot them?

nah i haven't seen it - is it like the tiny compounds at bows arrows and bits?, they are very cool :)

The drop aways are nice, but I'm not convinced they are capable of grouping as well as the shoot overs. Of course getting a shootover to work is another matter.
Yeah it's one of them . I was firing it at the club, you can do some resious damage with the thing.

We were talking about stepping up to the line with the 70# shooting guys at 5m and firing off some shots. :D
48m, no problem, you have three shots, I've fired mine with a realease aid and everything, havn't tuned it yet though.
